Kalokairie Dalmatians was established in 2000, when I became a third generation dalmatian owner within the family. Born in the Yorkshire Dales, I was accustomed to being around nature & owning animals. After owning horses and various breeds of dogs in childhood it seemed natural that a Dally would be the first dog that I owned "on my own". Showing, Agility, Obedience & Carriage dog training were the many aspects I went onto enjoy, however I found my real passion in breeding & subsequently showing.
I became a serious breeder, with a focus still to this day in maintaining good, healthy lineage. In my 17 years within the breed, I have learnt from well respected peers as well as trusting my own natural aptitude. This led me to deepen my knowledge in judging, passing several KC certificates and the Breed club's in house assessment.
To improve on my breed knowledge and breeding practices I also felt it necessary to visit the Top breeders in Australia , Norway and Sweden. Learning from the people whose dogs I most admired was a worthwhile experience and a real privilege.
We look forward to the next chapter of breeding for the future with our much improved line, continuing to aim for; Optimum health, temperament and overall quality that makes the Dalmatian an endurance athlete.
